The construction of a new eye surgery facility within a heritage listed dwelling presented some interesting challenges for our team, which were met head-on with a fantastic end result.
A sympathetic approach is required when constructing within a heritage facility, in this case blending new modern architecture with traditional Australian styling.
This complex heritage restoration and extension encompassed high-end finishes and environmentally sustainable services.
The modern addition required large structural steel components and stairs in a restricted site area. Demolition of existing but unlisted elements of the building and integration of the extension with the original structure were key components of our success.
